The Shelby County Outreach Office offers access to SAIL's four-core independent living services of Information and Referral, Advocacy, Peer Mentoring & Counseling, and Independent Living Skills Training on a part-time basis. Many people with disabilities in Shelby County do not have the resources to travel to Decatur to gain access to all of the programs and services offered by SAIL. Having a presence in Shelbyville provides residents in Shelby County with greater access to SAIL's independent living programs and services. Shelby County Low Vision Support Group meets at the Shelbyville Senior Center the 2nd Thursday of each month from 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM. The Shelbyville Senior Center is located at 325 East North 9th St. Shelbyville, in Forest Park. |
