Give to SAIL

For over 10 years, people with disabilities have learned that they have the ability to live independently, to share with others, and be an active part of their community. SAIL’s Board of Directors and staff are dedicated to SAIL’s mission to “promote self-reliance and independent living for all people with disabilities.” SAIL could not do this without it's very special team of employees and volunteers.

Although SAIL receives a majority of its funding from state and federal grants, these grants alone are not enough to enable SAIL to provide services to people with disabilities throughout its six county service area. These counties have grown significantly over the past nine years; however, the state and federal grants SAIL relies on have not grown at the same rate. SAIL needs your help and generosity. When you give a contribution to SAIL, your support allows this Center for Independent Living to maintain it's efforts in all areas of service such as:
  • Allowing SAIL to facilitate support groups for people with hearing impairments.

  • Recruiting qualified personal assistants to provide assistance to people with disabilities in their homes.

  • Providing items for low vision consumers, such as plastic signature guides, dark felt pens, or bump dots to mark items.

  • Developing services and support groups for parents of children with disabilities.

  • Conducting disability awareness activities at schools, businesses, and community events.

These are just some of the ways your generous donation will be used to help reach out and continue to offer services to people with disabilities who desire to lead an independent and fulfilling lifestyle. There are so many people in SAIL's six county service area that can benefit from SAIL’s services. Please remember that your gift is tax deductible and that all gifts are greatly appreciated.
